Thanks for sharing the link Dave.

It will work on both Windows & Mac. The install requires Adobe Flash Player be installed - latest version would be best. If you have that, clicking on Install Now should download & install it.

If you don't have (or want) Flash Player installed you will need to install:
1. Adobe AIR: http://get.adobe.com/air/
2. program: http://homepage.mac.com/dwbonser/Sites/dcdb/0.8.1/dcdb.air

Great link. Had recently begun 'creating' a programme to do the same, but this looks like saving me that hassle. Thanks.

Have it sorted now, looks great, going to have loads of fun filling in all the details.

One flaw, the average costs show up on the main screen, lots of people will not want to be reminded as to how much they have spent on models affraid

There's an option to turn that off in the preferences/settings dialog.

Been adding away to this but something struck me tonight, no place to put in a reg number so I've started filling in the Serial No box with reg no's. Is there any where in the settings to add an extra field??

I never thought of that one! Unfortunately, I won't be making any further changes to the program (except for bug fixes) so I won't be adding a new field.

Of course you can use any field however you see fit. You could also use the Tags or Notes fields in the User section if you don't need to see the registration number in the item list (these fields can't be displayed in the item list). However, they will be searched when you use the filter text box (upper-right corner of main screen) to filter item lists so you can still quickly find an item by it's registration number.

It's the program that just won't go away. A few hours' work yesterday evening and a few more changes based on things I didn't like when using the program lately. v0.9.2 has been uploaded to http://sdrv.ms/O4PAr3 and includes the following changes:

NEW FEATURE
- added the ability to duplicate a Smart Group. Useful if you have a lot of criteria in your Smart Group and want to create another, similar one without starting over. I used this feature to create a new Smart Group for my 2013 purchases, pre-orders, gifts, etc. Smart Group

ENHANCEMENT
- added the ability to edit a Smart Group by double-clicking it in the Group list. I found myself continually double-clicking the Smart Group name to edit it and finally had enough of it not doing what I wanted.
- increased thumbnail image size on item detail page in generated web site. The 100 pixel wide thumbnails on the item detail pages were just too small.

Where would this field be best - Model, 1:1, or Competition section? Now that I have a reliable way to re-boot my computer in the old version of the OS and a place to host the file, changes are back on the table...

Personally I'd put it in the 1:1 section with the rest of the car details as the fourth item (after Model)

Now maybe this can be done and I haven't worked it out but is there a way of printing off the list of models with a thumbnail so the list looks similar to what the database is like on screen

Sounds good - 1:1 section it is.

As for the printing it was a long time ago I added that but I recall I had a problem with the images being split across 2 pages. I think I have a way around that so I'll see what I can do.

Will do. Easier to do if I'm already adding a another field.

Another small problem that I forgot to mention, don't know if it's just me or others have come across it also, when I print out a list some of the list is missing.
Page 1 numbers 1 to 38
Page 2 numbers 40 to 79
Page 3 numbers 81 to 120
Page 4 numbers 122 to 161

That will be fixed once I re-do the group summary printing. About 80% done with it.

It's still there so I'm not sure why the link wouldn't be working. Try this:

http://sdrv.ms/O4PAr3

If it still doesn't work maybe your browser is blocking access for some reason. Question
