1/18 Bertie Fisher Mk2 Ulster Rally

So as many of you already know, Jimmy and myself have been working away on this for the last while. With the help of the forum, we have managed to get this complete. Pretty pleased with the result, will definitely be keeping this one in my own collection.

excellent work lads, looks amazing.. would love one in the collection. as I had the 1/43 and only sold it as Im more into my 1/18s..

is there a run off these? and if so how much, id be interested if so

Thanks Mark. Not exactly a run, but there will be max 10 sets of decals released as well as all the info you need to convert the welsh mk2. Or you could just send it to colin to spray it (sorry colin ). Im sure something could be worked out if anyones not up to decalling themselves

Decals will be on sale the end of next week Mark. Price will be €30.

The reason why its decals only is that base models are hard to come by now without costing a fortune, but most people will have the Clark Welsh car in their collection already. I dont want to have to buy loads of base models, so thats the main reason for decals only. The cost of buying bases would bring the price up too high for my liking

If anyone is interested getting one built for them we can sort something out

I think I'm down for a set of decals, if not can you stick me down for a set,
Converting the Clark Welsh Rally model shouldn't be too hard as all the decals/tampo come off without having to paint the model,

Lads of any of you need a Clark Welsh Rally model I was at the Ford show at the Port on Sunday and Orchard Motors port had 3/4 of them for sale at £50 each. They were still there in the evening so could contact the shop.

pm on its way jimmy, can I ask lads if the red of the Cossack car is the right red or at least close enough, or did you have to repaint............also did you make up the triple lights yourself or justuse a vatanen black-beauty set/car?

Red Cossack car is the correct colour, theres really not a lot that needs to be done to convert it.

RE the lights, Colin has already prepared a base car, not sure what lights he used but he may have got them already made up from a model. Im sure he will clarify this later. I just made up a little T bracket from plasticard, and removed the lights from the original base and stuck them to the bracket along with the extra lights left over from the David James car. This is the only tricky bit and well within your skill set Billy

Not my work. I just asked Brian if he could do the decals for the model. Its Brian's work with a bit of help from Billy and Noel on what the decals were. Anyone that is looking for decals contact Brian. A big thanks Brian for making this work.

That's the same thing I did Brian,
The spots on the Vatanen MKll didn't look right as the bracket was too big and bulky,
I got Jimmy to send down a set of spots and I made the extra bracket out of a tooth pick,
Billy if you keep the original bracket where it fits into the front panel with the upper spot still fitted then you just need a wee extra bit to glue the lower spots to,

Dont worry mark, your on the list. 6 sets including my own are gone, so still 4 left. Might throw them on ebay and see what happens.
