Latest build. Managed to find somewhere who will mix automotive paints. This is the Subaru 555 paint, think it is wrong though for the rally cars. Does not seem to have the purple hue to it. Will try another paint code I have which is actually for a Renault colour. When we looked to the tints, the 555 colour had a little more black in it.
And this is for the Doc. See, it is another blue car which although competed as a tarbaby, did get very sideways during races.

a bit sad HPI has pulled the pin, they did some really nice stuff and I was waiting to see the 1/18 Stratos. Maybe Ignition will pick the 1/18 rally cars up.
And here is a in progress shot of a kit build. Belts not fully finished.

Love the Otto rally cars. This one seems to have a better finish than some of late. I am only missing two of the Otto rally cars in 1/18. The first one - baby Renault and the butt ugly Citroen from the '70s.

aye, they're getting a bit sharper every time...... did you buy both the alpines? I only got the yellow/black calberson one, resisted the urge to buy the later black one, though it looks mean......

This is part of an article on the real car. You can see the colour from this. Depending upon the direction of the light source, the colour changed.
