French Model Shops

Rev’Land, 176 Rue de Vesle, 5110 Reims, France
www.revland.fr
Huge shop floor to ceiling displays of racing/rally & road, kits, slot cars, radio control and some old stuff
Beware of one way system and trams. Come over the bridge you have to go right and then park. Model shop is back to the bridge and turn right down the way street shop is just along on the left

Plant Auto, 23 Rue du Tilleul, 59150 Wattrelos, France

www.planet-auto.fr
Mainly modern diecast some old kits. Plenty to see. But it did give the impression that times were hard.
On a one way street the shop is on the left, take the right just past it and park.

Belgium Model Shops correct as of 15/2/2014

Hobby 2000, 78 Quai de la Bouverie, 4020 Liege
www.hobby2000.be
One of the best model shops I have ever seen. Lots of modern diecast to suit all tastes, including old kits built and unbuilt, lots of remaindered stuff – dig deep, also radio control, slot cars, trains and more.
Shop located on a big island, with one way system. Approach from the north, down the cobbled street the shop is on the end on the right with its own car park, huge bike shop underneath.

Eurojouets Gembloux, 20 Chaussee de Namur, Gembloux 5030
Eurojouets SPRL Wavre, 134 Rue de Brussels, 13009 Wavre
www.autominiatures.be
Don’t be fooled by all the kids toys and games, there are plenty of models for us big kids. Massive selection of modern diecasts. I have never seen so many tractors.
Both have their own parking in front at Gembloux (shop is not in Gembloux its a bit north on the main road) its next to the Ford garage. In Wavre it’s on the road out of the town on the left.

Domino, 55 Bellestraat, Westouter
www.domino.be

Another must do shop. At the front it’s full of cigars, cigarettes and whiskey, but walk to the back and it is a fantastic model shop. All modern, all scales, loads of decals sets, kits and much more.

NOTE this shop is not in Westouter, its a few kms south on the triangle of roads you will see on your map/sat nav. Heading south amongst all the shops look out for the big Domino sign on the right.

Excellent post Chris. Might need to get a road trip organised to hit up a few of these. Ive bought from Domino many times and never had a problem. Always get stuff posted out very quickly.

Ive merged both threads and stickied them, feel free to add any other stores and ill edit original post to keep them all in the same place

Brian

The idea was to keep the posts to separate countries. Rather than say one for Spain getting lost amongst all the French ones.

If the thread gets too long as many do on the forum, the early stuff just gets lost.

We try and do a road trip at least once a year. Always good fun, lots of laughs, lots of good food and drink and oh yes a few rally models too and a bit of culture too!! This year we did some WW1 stuff around Ypres and stood for the last post at the Menin Gate. All very sobering.

Cheers
Chris

good stuff lads......so what about a sticky titled model shops...then a thread for individual countries, which can each be added to/commented upon by members? does that sound ok?

Bought from Domino on a number of occasions, they seem to have a very good walk in tent at IRC and ERC events in Belgium........I have found 1 major problem but just 1....you can NOT walk away while you have money in your pocket.......savage selection and always a model or two free when you buy a lot....

Spain/Barcelona

Kitcar 43
www.kitcar43.com
for anyone thinking of going to Rally Spain. From memory the shop is about 10 minutes walk west of the famous unfinished Sagrada Cathedral where the Start Ramp is located. The  website have detailed directions on there - I was on foot. Its been a number of years since I visited but well worth going for a look.

If you are going to France here is a list of model shops (note some are garages as well so google to check first)

This lot will take a while to get through?
