Prince Rainier Motor Museum in Monaco.

6 euro admission

On a recent trip to the principality we took time out to visit this museum. Only a few rally cars, a number of F1 cars from early 2000 and lot of pre and post war road cars. At the top a collection of Monte Carlo Rally memorabilia and plates.

Sounds and looks interesting, Chris.

How long did it take to get around the museum? Was it an hour, half a day or 'pack a picnic and make a day of it'?

Cheers, Steve

Steve

Not to bad abouit an hour. The photos are the only rally stuff in the museum.

The stamp & coin museum next door is also worth a visit, very interesting.

We had details of another motor museum nearby but couldnt find it

Managed four laps of the GP circuit on a Sunday morning. You just dont realiose how steep it is up to the casino, how long and ciurved the tunnel is or how narrow thw whole track is.

I've visited the Museum a couple of times. Its very central , easy walking distance from the main promenade. They change the cars around a lot, as some are stored elsewhere.  The ACM ( Automobile Club de Monaco) shop is also worth a visit, but pricey!

The newsagent on the corner at the prom has a good model collection on sale also.

Regards,

Bobby.

Bobby

Yes indeed Monaco and Monte Carlo are all in easy walking distance.

Always disapointed that there is not really much rally stuff in the ACO shop and yes I forgot about that model shop on the front.

But generally in the right places things are not mega expensive in Monte Carlo to eat and drink.

Cheers
