Paint or decal ? Empty Paint or decal ?

http://www.ebay.ie/itm/Trofeu-1410-1-43-Fiat-131-Abarth-1st-PORTUGAL-1981-excellent-/331638670845?hash=item4d373485fd

Anybody have or know this model. Are the blue stripes paint or decal. If paint then would I be correct in assuming that the decals can be removed to get me back to a white car with three blue stripes ?

It's decal, I have the entire car as decal on a sheet which I bought from Carlos lopes. I have the model itself too, decals are starting to fall off so it's no tampo.

I suspect you're after a Fiat to make Billy Coleman's Chequered Flag car, in which case you might be better off buying a partwork model which has the roof and arches in the right colour.

Beware there are two versions.

1979 Monte-Carlo, Servia / Brustenga, #31 (black roof spoiler)

Thanks for the replies folks.

I am looking at doing the Timo Salonen car from the 1980 Circuit of Ireland as part of the display for next Easter. I have a white base thanks.

This is the Lusso Toys base model if it helps your project, but no worries if you are sorted.....

James I have FIAT UK decals with all the blue stripes was going do a run of 10 1978 COI FIAT 131. I can get a a set of these decals from my supplier. Alternatively simply remove the decals except the blue stripes using hot water soaked cotton buds

Do you have any more pics of the car. I can get the decals fairly easily-just need to ask my Trofeu supplier.
