Hello everyone.
I am a relatively new member of this forum...having joined a few months back...and finally got around to posting something!
I am a massive MG Metro 6R4 fan...it was this car that first got me interested in rallying; way back in 1985, when it made its RAC Rally debut...and although I did not actually get out on that particular event to watch, I made sure that I did the following year...going to a very wet and muddy Cirencester Park, in 1986...where I became totally, completely and utterly hooked and in love with that raucous little ARG SuperCar!
Having spectated on numerous rallies over the years, I then got involved in marshalling as well as competing myself, as a co-driver.
Over thirty years later...and the love affair continues...the added bonus is that even my wife approves of it! How lucky I am!!!
Naturally, I suppose, my love of the MG Metro 6R4 led me to start buying models of it and, as a progression, has led me to you guys and gals; as I have become a keen...but somewhat novice, compared to some of the things that I see on this Forum...modeller myself, buying up decal conversion sets/base models to make up my own Code 3 MG Metro 6R4 models.
Thank God for good old E-Bay and Facebook I say!!!
I really do enjoy my model making; and feel that I am improving with experience! I very much enjoy trawling through the pages of this Forum to see what other people are up to and to learn new tips and to get advice.
I do hope that, in the future, I may be able to contribute more to the Forum and share my own experiences/model making with other Members.
Also, I do still hope that, one day; if I am VERY good, I may well get the chance to actually ride in an MG Metro 6R4; I think that would be the ultimate experience!!!
Thank you everyone for your input on this Forum; and to those that will, by now, have read my Introduction.
5-4-3-2-1 GO!!!!!!!!
With my best wishes and thanks.
Nige (Postman Pat)

Re: Hello everyone.
Welcome aboard, Nige - and glad you've taken the plunge and 'come out', so to speak.
Knowing what decals you have bought from myself over the last couple of years, then I can already predict some of the Metro models within your cabinets, mate. This is a great little community, although admittedly it can lie quite dormant at times, what with some Facebook groups having taken over the advantage from most internet-based forums. There's quite a few Metro diehards on here as well, and we are always happy to share projects, ideas, and broaden each others skills - maybe even assist you to ligten your wallet at times as well!
Great to see another Metro diehard amongst us, and looking forward to seeing your collection grow over the coming months, and also sharing in your ongoing acquisitions and projects. Welcome aboard, mate....

Re: Hello everyone.
Welcome to the forum Nige. Friendly little bunch on here and I think you will find yourself quite at home especially with the other 6R4 guru's
By the way "Cowley" is also known as Mr 6R4 . His knowledge is like a dictionary.
Enjoy
Chris.

Re: Hello everyone.
Hi Nige,
This is one 6R4 nut welcoming another 6R4 nut to the Forum!
As you've already had a good look around, you will see what we're like, the type of light-hearted banter we enjoy as well as much helping and encouraging amongst our happy community. Thankfully, it's a troll-free environment! I have stopped visiting ten-tenths as it's so unpleasent due to one or two 'characters' who have a particularly negative approach to, well, everything! Nothing like that here, safe to say!
Hope you're a bit more successful at posting pctures than I am. Will be interesting to see what is in your collection, particularly 6R4-shaped.
Welcome and enjoy yourself here.
Cheers, Steve

Are there any merits, Paul!?
Nige, I should point out this is a good example of 'banter' and not my trolling Paul's comments!!
